Malena Pizani
Malena Pizani studied Philosophy at the University of Buenos Aires (UBA) and trained as an artist at Diana Aisenberg's clinic and workshop. She received the Creation (2015-16) and Training (2016) Grants from the FNA (National Art Foundation). Her work has been exhibited at institutions such as the Castagnino Macro Museum in Rosario, the Museum of Modern Art in Buenos Aires, the Parque de la Memoria (Memory Park), the Kirchner Cultural Center, the Klemm Foundation, the CCEBA (Center for the Arts), the Casa del Bicentenario (Bicentennial House), the Sívori Museum, the Caraffa Museum in Córdoba, and in private galleries. She has held solo exhibitions such as Persona (2024), The Sound of the Drum (2022), Ashes and Tears (2018), Like Produces Like (2015), Omega/Alfa (2013), There Is a Minimum Space Between Things (2012), and Music for the Shadows (2010). She has been exhibiting her work in group shows since 2005. She won first prize at the 27th Klemm Prize (2023). She received the Acquisition Award at the third edition of the 8M Prize and was part of the Braque Prize (2019). She is part of the Tótem Tabú collective, along with Hernán Soriano and Laura Códega. In 2014, she published the book Un Artista. Together with Pilar Villasegura, she edits the ongoing fanzine collection ¡Oh, tristeza!
