Evanescent Portals is the title of Natalia Martínez 's first solo exhibition at Selvanegra Gallery, opening on August 17th and curated by Marina Aguerre. This time, the artist presents a collection of recent works in which the precise and meticulous work with line and bursts of color open up a hybrid, fantastic universe, full of formal and meaningful transitions, inviting us to delve into it. Thus, from drawings to paintings and the fusions between the two, from the temporal intersections between references to pre-Columbian textiles and the use of industrial genres, spaces and characters emerge that alter the canon and the rigid divisions between categories. In this way, a complex and very particular mandala emerges, in which each piece triggers diverse connections with different times, worlds, and memories.
